“For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the middle of them.”
Matthew 18:20 AKJV
Imagine Christian men and woman, from all over the Portland metro, gathering together inside strip bars, holding hands around the strip pole and praying for the strippers as they perform. Imagine, instead of enabling the strippers by giving them money, the Christians give them gospel tracts. Imagine this taking place in strip joints all over Portland – a city with more strip clubs per capita than any other city in the world. How would this impact Portland? How would this impact the strippers? How would this impact you?
Find out by joining our grassroots movement: See You At The Strip Pole.

Where: At 10:45 AM we’ll meet in the parking lot of Casa Diablo – 2839 NW St Helens Rd, Portland, OR 97210
Frequently Asked Questions
Is this a joke?
When Jesus commanded us to evangelize everyone did he mean everyone except strippers or everyone including strippers? As you can see, everyone excluding strippers is not everyone.
How can we resist the temptation to lust after the strippers?
In Ephesians 6:11 (NIV) The apostle Paul tells us to, “Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.” So in keeping with this scripture, everyone participating in See You At The Strip Pole, is required to bring and wear dark sunglasses, which will protect us from viewing full nudity – all you will be able to see are shapes and shades.
Who is welcome to participate?
All Christian men and woman (over the age of 21) are welcome to participate.
Where will this take place?
We will visit five strip bars. Below is the itinerary:
Casa Diablo: 11:00 AM – 11:45 AM
Lucky Devil: 12:15 PM -12:45 PM
Acropolis: 1:15 PM – 2:45 PM (lunch from 1:15-2:15)
Union Jacks: 2:45 PM – 3:15 PM
Mary’s Club 3:45PM – 4:15 PM
How will I get from one strip bar to the next?
We will provide free transportation for everyone who arrives at the Casa Diablo parking lot by 11:00 AM. The shuttles will haul our party to all five strip bars then drop us off at Casa Diablo by 4:45 PM.
How will this work?
Before entering each facility, everyone in our party will huddle-up in the parking lot and pray. To avoid detection we’ll trickle by two’s. Once everyone has arrived inside the strip bar, we’ll quickly gather around the stage and hold hands around the strip pole as the dancers perform, at which time we’ll begin to pray. You are free to pray silently, out loud or in tongues, as the Spirit leads. You are also encouraged to hand out the gospel tracts at this time. Before leaving the establishment we will conduct an alter call, inviting all the strippers, bartenders, patrons, bouncers, and owner/s to come forward and get saved by reading the Sinner’s Prayer. After we pray for and convert those who come forward we will exit the building and board our shuttles for the next strip bar.
Can I take pictures?
No. It is illegal to take pictures or video inside strip bars. Anyone caught taking pictures, video or acting inappropriately will not be allowed back on the shuttle.
What should I bring?
Bring a pair of dark sunglasses and a sack lunch or money for food (we will congregate for lunch inside Acropolis at 1:15 PM).
Will you provide anything?
Aside from free transportation we will provide all the gospel tracts (seen below). Each person will be given 50 tracts before we start in the morning. These tracts are to be given to the bar employees, owners, patrons and strippers in place of money. Once your stack is gone you will not be given anymore. So spend wisely. Also, we’ll provide sunglasses to those who left them at home or don’t have/can’t afford them. If loaned out, the sunglasses must be returned in working condition at the end of the day or else you will be required to pay a $10.00 fee (to replace the sunglasses).
What is the goal for See You At The Strip Pole?
Our goal is that everyone in the strip bars will see/experience Jesus through us as we hold hands together around the strip poles and pray.
Our hope is for all strippers (and strip bar employees & owners) to get saved, causing the owners to close their business, leaving Portland strip bar-less.
What can I do if I want to participate but am unable to make it to See You At The Strip Pole?
Since this is our first year we’re praying for a large turnout so we hope you can join us. However, we realize not everyone who wants to participate will be able to make it. If this is the case then we encourage you to form your own group. Because Matthew said Jesus is present when two or more gather together in his name, we encourage you not to go alone.
Is there anything I can do until the event?
Tell everyone you know (who is 21 or older). In the meantime, show your kids the video below and get them excited about See You at the Pole.
What excites you about See You at the Strip Pole? If you can’t make it, what’s holding you back? If you’re forming your own group, where will you be going? I hope to See You at the Strip Pole!
Never stop praying,
Jake Z
